Agenda

A storytelling/stand up comedy show, Agenda is about the shame of being a bloke who wants to wear a dress, by a bloke wearing a dress.

Frightened that he would be rejected by his loved ones and other people that he cares slightly less about, it has taken comedian Rob Kemp a long time to understand and overcome the outdated attitudes to clothing and gender expectations he grew up with. Upon seeing a Mario-themed stag-do, and a stag that was dressed as Princess Peach, he was given to wonder; ‘What is meant to be inherently funny about a man dressed like a lady?
It’s a status thing, isn’t it?
To quote Iggy Pop, 'I'm not ashamed to dress "like a woman" because I don't think it's shameful to be a woman.'

Fed up of being a punchline, transvestite (is that the right word anymore?) and award-winning comedian, Rob Kemp wants to tell you a personal story about shame, identity, gender expectations, and being true to yourself.
Expect sequins and reference to the movies of John Carpenter.
