Apartness

Direct from the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, APARTNESS is a multimedia hybrid, part live stand-up and part film, featuring Sylvester McCoy (the 7the Doctor Who) and Linda Marlowe (Eastenders’ Sylvie Carter) and introducing Eleanor May Blackburn in a tale of two isolated souls and their devilish comedian saviour. Funny, poignant, and full of shocks and surprises, it is a true tale of unexpected outcomes, based on, and inspired by, a comedian who believed art to be more important than life. This new concept is part dramatic moving-image and part live-vaudevillian-style comedy, a heady cocktail of entertainment to make you gasp, laugh, and even tug at your heartstrings, but whatever it does, it will do it! Writer/Director, award-winning Kevin Short, wrote this piece during lockdown, creating a new attraction for both theatre and film audiences, an entertainment that can play both types of venue. Apartness is for theatre and movie goers alike so, roll-up, roll-up, it’s for all of you!
