THE MOTH
An adaptation of the classic 'A Streetcar Named Desire' by Tenessee Williams

Directed by Nathalie Bazan

'I don't tell truth, I tell what ought to be truth. And if that is sinful, then let me be damned for it!'

Critically acclaimed 5* Lying Lips Theatre Company presents, The Moth -  an adaption of, A Streetcar Named Desire by Tennessee Williams.

This innovative, contemporary version of the American classic has now been relocated to working class Britain, set in the 90’s. Join us as we explore and unpack the toxicity of relationships and dissect the presentation of masculinity and femininity.

Witness the struggles of societal expectations and the repercussions that can occur when these are challenged. When hierarchy becomes contested, what extremities will one go to attempt to bring it back to order?

Please note: The production contains scenes of domestic abuse, sexual violence, and partial nudity. There are scenes that some people might find upsetting.
